The best recommendations for your pelleting and grinding needs, including equipment specifications and horsepower requirements, are available from the CPM pelleting and particle size reduction test center.

Samples are processed in a lab that simulates the full product line—pellet mills, hammermills, roll crushers and shredders. The lab includes::

• A pellet mill with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) so we can change the die speeds to find the right speed for the material. The pellet mills also have a large selection of dies to choose from.
  
• A hammermill with VFD, which allows us to simulate the tip speeds of the entire line of CPM hammermills.
  
• Several roll crushers with commonly used corrugations for every application. We also have the ability to corrugate our rolls to match unique application requirements.
  

Processed samples are returned with a detailed test report that includes:

• Before and after material samples
  
• A description of the testing process of your material
  
• Any special recommendations for processing your material
  
• A material sieve analysis
