Citrix Access Gateway Usage Instructions
The new Citrix Access Gateway provides a cleaner and more secure interface to the CPM network from computers outside the corporate network via the Internet.
Please save and/or print the instructions below before accessing the new gateway for the first time and follow them carefully when using the new gateway.

Using the Citrix Access Gateway
After accessing the gateway link, if the client is installed successfully, you will next see a window requesting permission to scan your computer.

If you click No, your access to the network will be limited to web email.
If you click Yes, your computer will be scanned for the presence of antivirus software, firewall software, and CPM domain membership. Access to various resources and options will be granted based upon the scan results.
If you click Always, your computer will launch the scan automatically every time you connect, after a 2 second delay to allow for cancellation.
Click Yes or Always to initiate the scan.
You will now be presented with the Citrix Access Gateway Logon Screen. In the future (after the old web interface is phased out), this is the page you will always access when connecting to the CPM network.

Enter your network username, password, and domain, and click Login.
What you see next will depend on the Endpoint Analysis scan results. If you skipped the scan, failed the scan, or did not install the scan because you are using a public computer, you will see only the corporate Web Email page. If you passed the scan you should see a screen similar to the following.

The page has two tabs, Home and Email. The Home page is divided in two halves, Application and File Shares. Each is described below.
Applications are your Citrix applications. You can click on and launch your Citrix applications. This should work the same as the old Citrix Web Interface.
The Email tab provides the Microsoft Outlook Web Access page. You should have direct access to the page with no further logons required now.
The File Shares pane is a cool new feature that many of you will be able to use instead of a VPN connection. It allows you to browse the files on the network servers, download and upload them, and email them.
If you click on the All Public Files link in the File Shares pane you will see a list of corporate file shares in a new window.

The location links (Amsterdam, Crawfordsville, Horsham, etc.) are links to the L: drives at each location. The Datacenter link connects to the G: drive at the datacenter. If you click on one you will see a web browser interface to the files shares.
In the following screen I have navigated to a subfolder on the Datacenter share (G: drive).

If you have permissions to add files to a given folder, you will see an Upload button on the toolbar. Clicking this will open a dialog box allowing you to upload a file from your local computer.

Click Browse to locate and select the file and then click Upload to perform the upload.
Going back to the files screen, clicking on a file will open a window with the options available to you.

The options vary depending on your connection. In the above example, I can download the file to my local computer, or I can open a web email page with the file attached and email it to someone without having to copy the file across the network to my computer. This is a big time saver.

Click the To, Cc, and BCc buttons to obtain addresses from the corporate directory, or type the email addresses directly the same as in Microsoft Outlook.
This has been a brief overview of the features and use of the new Citrix Access Gateway. If you have any questions or experience problems with accessing or using it, please contact IT for assistance.
Also, there will be additional options added in the near future, such as a secure VPN access point that will replace the less secure Microsoft VPN. Please stay tuned.
